Miracle on the Hudson

155 passengers on the US Airways flight from LaGuardia to Charlotte that crashed in the Hudson River yesterday; All are alive and well (one victim did suffer two broken legs but is doing well at this time). Pilots cite running into a flock of geese as the cause of the failed engines and crash. One person noted: [The pilot] had 2,900 ft., which translates to about 80 seconds, to survey the situation, devise a plan, and carry it out…. landing on water… framed by 12 million people… with NO power and limited control… without anyone getting seriously injured.

New Year's Eve was a special one, for Hip-Hop mogul Damon Dash, as he rang in the New Year at New York City's The Plumm. Mr. Dash was fondly supporting his son Damon " Boogie" Dash who apparently was DJing for the big evening. Just who else was at The Plumm ringing in 2009 with Damon Dash? Guests in attendance included: The Plumm Owner Noel Ashman, Ethan Browne, Jeremy Dash, Heather Hunter, Fashion Designer Dwane Rich, Felix Ortiz III etc. To follow are precious photos from the event.

EMBATTLED hip-hopper Damon Dash is counting on his son, Boogie, to carry on the family name. The 18-year-old protégé debuted his deejay skills at The Plumm on New Year's Eve. After spraying revelers with champagne, Boogie told some of the partiers that he just finished an album with his new group the Heir$, titled, "Heir$ to the Throne." He then accepted a weekly gig at the 14th Street club. Let's just hope he learns to pay his taxes on time.
